Each piece is hand-cut dichroic glass pendants. They are made in my home
studio and after assembly it is fired to 1400-1500 degrees in my electronic
controlled Kiln. When the pieces have cooled and annealed to specs. I then hand design and work the piece by grinding and smoothing as needed. I then fire polish it to give the piece a glossy finish. I take great pride in my product and Hope you do also.

My Studio

This is my studio. It is on wheels in my Motor Home which goes along with me when I'm on the road going to my next show.. I Store all my glass in the compartments under the Motor Home. I only keep small amounts of glass under my work space. I use a small miner torch and my oxygen concentrator just under my work table. A exhaust fan is connected to small metal hood just over my work table for safe clean air torching.

Wound glass beads

Probably the earliest beads of true glass were made by the winding method. Glass at a temperature high enough to make it workable, or "ductile", is laid down or wound around a steel wire or mandrel coated in a clay slip called "bead release." The wound bead, while still hot, may be further shaped by manipulating with graphite, wood, stainless steel or marble tools and paddles. This process is called marvering, originating from the French word "marver" which translates to "marble". It can also be pressed into a mold in its molten state. While still hot, or after re-heating, the surface of the bead may be decorated with fine rods called stringers of colored glass. These are a type of lampwork beads.
